Clive John
Johnny Cash
is an award winning, singer/ songwriter based in Malvern, Worcestershire. An established artist in his own right with eight albums of his own material under his belt. Clive’s seventh album, The Spirit, was nominated Best British Country Album of the year and the single was at Number 1 for 8 weeks in Hot Disc Country Music Charts.
‘His eight studio album ‘A Brand New Beginning’ was released in 2018 and ‘Bad Man’ (first track from the album) was number one worldwide in Hot Disc Country chart for three weeks worldwide. Another song ‘September’ from same album was the fifth most popular song worldwide in 2018 and second most popular in UK and Ireland! The first most popular was a well known Garth Brooks song so this is a real achievement to have an unknown original song up against this level of popularity. There are also many more Clive John original songs that have had top five chart success in this chart over the years.
A live recording from a concert at His Majesty’s theatre in Aberdeen of JCR’s version of Hurt was number 1 worldwide for four weeks in 2019.
Clive is also producer/owner and very proud of his other theatre show ‘Honky Tonk Angels’. www.honkytonkangels.band
He is however better known to hundreds of thousands across Europe performing his version of Johnny cash in this critically acclaimed theatre production that we call JCR.
